Hi, I’m Zaki. I started dabbling in the stock markets since 2012-2013. From knowing absolutely nothing to gaining some knowledge through trial & error and learning from free material on the internet. Over the last decade, I have traded many products from single stocks to options, tried several banks and brokers, in EU & US markets.
I also worked at a proprietary trading firm for two years where I traded through large prime brokers with trade notional size exceeding $10mil USD across multiple products. Now I just manage my family account.
This blog is to document my trading journey, perhaps my kids will pick it up someday.
Quick facts:
- Broker I use: Interactive Brokers (IBKR). I have used Tastytrade as well and might use them again together with IBKR.
- What do I mainly trade: short puts along with day/swing trades on leveraged index ETF (TQQQ).
- What is the account size I trade: multiple 100K USD accounts.
- What indicators do I use: technical analysis – mainly RSI, Price & Time statistics and Market Breadth. Overall market situational awareness is another key component.
